Dubai Sephora Haul

For Harry’s 21st birthday I surprised him with a six day trip to Dubai. I’ll start off saying it was the most amazing holiday I have ever been on. Dubai has quickly become one of my favourite places to visit and I cannot wait to go back. The reason for this is:

  1. There is so much to do! We did not stop all holiday.
  2. Everyone was so friendly and polite.
  3. It was probably the cleanest place I have ever seen! This sounds silly but it really was incredible.

So whilst in Dubai I obviously had to take a visit (or three) to Sephora in The Dubai Mall. I was in HEAVAN. There were just so many beauty products I was able to get my hands on which are really hard and or expensive to get hold of in the UK. Not to mention the fact that some of these products you have to buy online which means you can’t colour match.

I’m not going to lie I spent a bomb on  all these products, but you know when in Rome…or Dubai?

My first stop was the Anastasia Beverly Hills counter, where I purchased the light Cream Contour Kit and two Brow Pomades, one in Caramel and one in Medium Brown. The reason for this is that I have recently gone darker with my hair so the Medium Brown colour matches my hair but it’s quite dark and a bit daunting so I also went for the lighter colour for a subtler look. I am absolutely in love with all these products and cannot recommend them enough. They have quickly become my favourite makeup products.

I then wondered over to the Kat Von D products where I tested out some of the liquid lipsticks. Now these were amazing but I wasn’t desperate for any of the colours as they were very similar to some I already had. So instead I purchased the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, which I had heard great things about but was sceptical as I am very fussy when it comes to liquid liners. But it’s safe to say this was worth it, its easy to apply and the pigmentation really pays off!

I then treated myself to the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette which I have been obsessing over for quite some time and finally gave in. I am so glad I did as I have used it every day since I bought it.

Next stop was the Too Faced counter where I picked up one of their Melted Liquid Lipsticks in Melted Nude. Which is stunning! It’s probably best described as darker slightly more orange Honey Love by MAC. I have also worn this non stop since I got it. One of the things I like about this is that it has a sponge applicator which makes it super easy to apply.

Lastly, I know I bought a lot! I bought some Sephora own brand products. I got the Prep & Perfect Smoothing & Brightening Powder. Now this is a bit of a scary looking product as it’s pressed white powder. However, it’s great for setting your highlight whilst enhancing it too. To be completely honest I haven’t used this that much yet but so far I am happy with it. I also couldn’t resist picking up some of the Sephora face masks!

Unfortunately I am now back in rainy England with some major holiday blues. But at least I have all of my new makeup goodies to keep me occupied!
