September Beauty Favourites

If you didn’t already know I absolutely love make up. There are a number of key items of makeup I always reach for. However, I am always open to trying new products, both high and low end. So I thought I would give you a round up of a few beauty favourites I have been using this month.

Guerlain Liquid Eyeliner

This is a new and recent addition to my makeup makeup bag. On the way back from my holiday to Greece I decided to treat myself to something I had been lusting over for quite sometime, the Guerlain Liquid Eyeliner in Noir Ebene. Now I have only been using this product for about a week but I am already sold and I definitely feel that the product justifies the high £28 price tag. It’s very pigmented which means it really is black, I have bought so many liquid eyeliners that dry more grey than black which I really hate. The liner has a nice soft, fine tip which makes it really easy to apply. Another thing to mention which justifies the price point is there is 5ml of product in a bottle, my Kat Von D Tattoo Liner which I also really like, is £16 (now available in Debenhams) only has 0.55ml. And the best thing about this product is that is does not budge, it really does stay on all day!

Loreal Paris False Lash Sculpt Mascara

The next new purchase I have been loving over the last month or so is the Loreal Paris False Lash Sculpt Mascara. I picked this up as I heard Lydia Elise Millen recommend it in one of her makeup tutorials along. I use this by using the Loreal Paris Million Lashes So Couture as my first base and then the Loreal Paris False Lash Sculpt Mascara  as my second coat. The two together work really well at adding both length and volume to my lashes without them being clumpy or spidery.

I have been using the MAC Sheertone Blush in Peaches on and off for quite some time now. I really hate when my face looks one dimensional, even when contouring and using bronzer I feel sometime I can look a little flat. I find that a really subtle pop of blush on the apples of my cheek really adds something to the shape of my face and brings out extra definition. It also really adds healthy colour back into the face as I find sometimes contouring can make me look a bit ashy and lifeless. This colour is really buildable, however, I like to keep my blusher really gentle. I find that the peach tone of this blusher really compliments a bronzer, which is perfect for that after summer glow.

Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne

My final favourite for this month is the Jo Malone Nectarine Blossom & Honey Cologne. Now obviously scent and perfume is very subjective but I think this scent is very subtle, sweet, fresh and versatile. I got this as a 21st birthday present and have been loving wearing it ever since.  Jo Malone describe it as “Sweet and delightfully playful”, which I think perfectly sums up this beautiful perfume.
